Is GenCade available in SMS 10.1?

No. GenCade is only available in SMS 11. SMS 11.0 beta is presently available, while SMS 11.0 will be available in April or May 2011. It is expected that SMS 11.1 will be available during summer 2011. GenCade can be run in SMS 11.0 beta, but several new features in the interface will not be implemented until SMS 11.1.

Has GenCade been officially released?

Not yet. GenCade Version 1 will be officially released in summer 2011. A beta version of GenCade is presently available. The most recent GenCade executable is GenCade_v1_078beta. To obtain a beta version of GenCade, please contact Ashley Frey.

What documentation is available for GenCade?

Efforts are underway to provide extensive documentation for GenCade. At this time, the best source for documentation for GenCade is the CIRPwiki. As GenCade evolves and changes, this wiki will be updated. Additionally, a GenCade technical reference (Technical Report) is scheduled to be completed in June 2011. This Technical Report will include model theory, standardized benchmark cases, validation cases, and a user's guide. The official GenCade Version 1 will not be available until after the Technical Report has been reviewed.
